Arbor’s DH event this weekend was a Success!!
Keith Rebhorn squeezed out a 1st place finish by his fingertips!
We had a great weekend over here at Push Culture! We finally left Brooklyn at 5 o’clock on friday and headed east. That’s right through the city and all it’s glory, i mean traffic. So, about 2 hours later we were on our way through Jersey City and headed to Morristown. In Morristown we met Marc Dean, a really nice guy with a lot of experience and DH knowledge. He showed us his luge and chatted about going fast and other events; could have stayed all night but we had to get on the road so we could set up our tents at the Blue Rock camp site. Fortunately they had the the food and such we didn’t bring when we arrived at the camp grounds office- $50 to support the locals and it we headed to camp. It was good old camping with fresh air and a star lit sky. The next morning was breakfast over the fire, board inventory and maintenance, then off to the races! Continue reading

Skateboarding for Peace in Afghanistan – One kid at a time
The Skateistan US entity just held its first major exhibition and fundraising event in New York (Red Bull Soho Space), with nearly 70 customized boards on display by more than 50 artists. Now that the benefit night has passed, the boards are all available for auction on eBay. The skateboards were used as canvasses by various up-and-coming New York artists, the installation artist Olafur Eliasson, street artist Cake, designers and, of course, skateboarders. One hundred percent of the final bids will go directly towards Skateistan’s efforts to provide skateboarding and educational opportunities to the boys and girls of Afghanistan.
The auction ends on Tuesday, August 31st, so take a look and get your bids in quick! Click Here for the Auctions…
